The Canoe

How to store and launch the Canoe.

Launching Landing

Launching

Lower the canoe and shove off.

Lift the canoe and turn it over.
Carry (don't drag) the canoe to the water. (This will require two people.)
Lower the canoe into the water, avoiding any rocks.
Push the canoe out a few feet and carefully enter, placing your weight in the center of the hull.
Push away from shore with a paddle and begin paddling away.

Landing

Dock and store the canoe.

Approach the shore slowly, paddling backward to stop your forward motion.
Once stopped, carefully exit the canoe while keeping hold of it.
Lift (don't drag) the canoe up into the boathouse.
Place the canoe upside down in the boathouse. The paddles can be leaned in a corner.
