The Boatlift

This is the aluminum boat lift that can be found at the end of the dock during the summer months. It is used to dock the whaler and other larger boats for immediate use.

Launching Landing

Launching

Lower the boat and shove off.

Release the locking bar.
Turn the wheel counter clockwise to lower the boat.
You may want to have some passengers board the boat before it is completetely lowered.
Allow the lift to lower the boat until it is fully floating.

Landing

Dock and raise the boat.

Approach the boatlift at the slowest speed possible.
Upon entering the lift, one person should step onto the dock.
The person on the dock can aid other passengers in exiting the boat.
Guide and center the boat onto the lift using ropes.
Raise the boat until it is completetely out of the water by turning the boat lift wheel clockwise.
